As the year comes to an end, so does our trip across the world of luxury. I fondly remember the start of this journey, in Morocco, to later travel to South Africa, the Middle East and all of Europe. Eleven months full of adventure, transformation, and lessons to be learnt passed by; on this issue we will visit a distinct destiny to celebrate our second anniversary. A special edition and a unique location are the setting for a retrospective of ÖVRFLÖD’s history.

Born from the search of the most exclusive luxury and sophistication, ÖVRFLÖD condenses these concepts under a single vision that redefines limits. Two years ago we presented OVRFLOD.COM, an exclusive website accompanied by a digital-editorial edition, designed for those who chose luxury as a lifestyle and who don’t need a special occasion to enjoy the utmost lushness. We incessantly search for the distinct, the different, the unique experiences in lifestyle all around the world.

For this celebration we explore Mexico, beginning at the Mayan Riviera, and the Yucatan Peninsula, where the enigmatic Mayan roots fuse with the sophistication of one of the best hotels the country has to offer. We then travel to the cosmopolitan Mexico City, where we will discover the jewels of haute cuisine, design, fashion, and hospitality that the city guards. We also feature special articles across our favourite sections: motor, clockwork, winebar, and all those that conform to the ÖVRFLÖD universe. The festivities do not end: this issue also marks the launch of the ÖVRFLÖD CLUB, an exclusive lifestyle club that grants access to the ÖVRFLÖD experiences.

Of course, a journey this big cannot be performed without the right talent working on it. ÖVRFLÖD has to thank our team, led by Sandra Santos and David Urrutia in the executive department, Roberto Alcántara who performs the editorial coordination of every issue, hand in hand with the writing team composed of Elena R.
