Tiffany & Co. has revealed its new gem: Tiffany Crest, the latest Tiffany Home collection designed by Lauren Santo Domingo, who recently assumed the role of Artistic Director for Tiffany Home. Inspired by late 17th-century family crests adorned on Chinese export porcelain, this collection pays homage to the legacy and distinctive symbols of the brand.
Artistic Director Lauren Santo Domingo shared about the special challenge of designing the crest for Tiffany & Co.: “Designing a heraldic shield for Tiffany & Co., honouring its unique history, was a very special task. Integrating the maple leaf, silversmith tools, gemstones, the founding year, and the Latin motto ‘Return to Tiffany’ felt very organic.”
The Tiffany Crest shield incorporates iconic elements and themes rooted in the House’s history. Against an orange and blue backdrop, inspired by the official flag colours of New York City, stands out Jean Schlumberger’s emblematic Bird on a Rock. Within the shield, illustrations of dragonflies echo the famous Tiffany lamps, diamonds, hammers paying homage to the House’s craftsmanship legacy, and maple leaves, symbolic of New York State’s tree. The Latin phrase “Revertere Ad Tiffany,” meaning “Return to Tiffany,” sits at the bottom of the shield, while “1837” signifies the House’s founding year.
The Tiffany Crest collection includes tableware comprising of deep, dinner, dessert, and bread plates, as well as table linen, all adorned with golden edges made in Chinese porcelain. It also offers wine and highball glasses, luxurious tea and coffee products, and a five-piece sterling silver cutlery set.
Available this month at Tiffany & Co.‘s flagship stores in North America, tiffany.com, and ModaOperandi.com globally, the Tiffany Crest collection is expected to reach Tiffany & Co. stores worldwide by 2024. This exquisite collection promises to enchant lovers of elegance and the history of one of the world’s most iconic brands.
