In a collaboration that merges Swiss haute horlogerie with Japanese contemporary art, Hublot and Takashi Murakami unveil the MP-15 Tourbillon Sapphire Rainbow. Limited to only 20 pieces, this 42mm watch redefines luxury with a dial featuring Murakami’s iconic smiling flower, a design that celebrates vibrant colors and technical complexity.
Crafted from a single block of sapphire and adorned with 444 gemstones in shades of ruby, amethyst, and sapphire, each petal evokes a vibrant hue in a composition that mirrors a rainbow. At the center of this design, the floating tourbillon serves as the heartbeat of the piece, showcasing an innovation in watchmaking by incorporating a manual-winding caliber with a 120-hour power reserve. This central tourbillon stands out with its unprecedented construction, with skeletonized components that appear to float.
The MP-15 is a statement piece for collectors and art enthusiasts alike, a wearable work of art that synthesizes Hublot’s precision with Murakami’s expressiveness, achieving a fusion of advanced technology and refined aesthetics.
