The new Tank Chinoise features a remastered, rectangular sphere. The first edition, more sober and elegant, reminisces of the model’s past versions. Made in rose and yellow gold and a special platinum edition, it features a slim 430 MC movement, the Maison’s flattest to date. The second edition is much more striking: mounted on a gold case, it has a beautiful skeleton movement that can be seen through fine openings in the sphere. The movement itself is the exclusive 9627 MC, specially designed for this very watch, and two borders in red and black lacquer uplift the design and make a nod towards the beauty of Chinese traditional architecture. Of this model there will be a rare, alternate edition, set in diamonds, whose production will be limited to only 20 pieces. The Tank Chinoise’s addition to the Cartier Privé collection is a unique, lavish celebration of an icon of the watchmaking world. Beautiful integrating Chinese aesthetics with the finest materials and craftsmanship of the world, these watches are soon to become some of the most coveted pieces for the lovers of fine timepieces.
