Clase Azul México celebrates the country’s cultural wealth with the third edition of its Master Artisans collection, a series of limited-edition decanters paying homage to the pottery traditions of Tonalá, Jalisco. Designed by renowned artisans Fernando Jimón and María Elena López, these unique pieces encapsulate centuries of tradition and creativity, elevating Mexican art to an international level.
Each decanter in this 300-piece collection tells a unique narrative. From the vibrant barro bandera nahuales that reflect Jimón’s playful spirit to López’s intricate floral designs, these masterpieces are imbued with symbolism and cultural pride.
The liquid inside these masterpieces is equally extraordinary. Each decanter contains an extra añejo tequila crafted under the supervision of Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco. Aged for over eight years in a combination of American whiskey barrels and European wine casks, each decanter is defined by a unique finishing touch:
- El Baile de los Nahuales is finished in Tuscan red wine barrels, offering velvety notes of red fruits and spices.
- La Proeza del Águila gains depth and subtle sweetness from fortified wine barrels from Bombarral, Portugal.
- La Luna y el Conejo exudes sophistication, enriched in premier Grand Cru Classé red wine barrels from Bordeaux.
This collection is not just a tribute to Mexican art and culture but also an unparalleled sensory experience, where the art of liquid and ceramics converge in perfect harmony.
