Louis Vuitton unveils its Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 Collection under the creative direction of Pharrell Williams and NIGO. This collection celebrates a creative friendship that has evolved over decades, combining NIGO’s archival expertise with Pharrell’s visionary style. Drawing on their shared roots in streetwear and contemporary elegance, the collection embodies a seamless blend of cultures and eras.
Presented at the iconic Cour Carrée du Louvre, the runway featured a stage designed by Wonderwall, with vitrines showcasing archival pieces from Louis Vuitton, Pharrell, and NIGO. These vitrines symbolize key moments that have defined the maison’s legacy while reflecting the creative synergy between the designers. Deeply inspired by Japan, the collection integrates traditional techniques like sashiko stitching on denim and kasuri weaving on silk-wool outerwear. Innovative patterns such as Cherry Blossom Damoflage combine the delicacy of sakura with avant-garde textures, while Phriendship graphics celebrate the connection between the two creators.
The silhouettes blend streetwear with contemporary dandyism, featuring bomber jackets adorned with heroic floral motifs, hybrid parkas, and tailored suits crafted in leather and Japanese textiles. The bags stand out for their bold design, such as the iconic Speedy in yuzu and sakura hues and the Damier Phriendship line, inspired by tea ceremony patterns, which redefines modern luxury.
The collection extends beyond clothing to include artistic collaborations like trunks designed by Azuma Makoto, containing real flowers encased in acrylic glass. Footwear, such as the LV ButterSoft sneakers, reimagines comfort with ultra-soft leather, while the LV Millionaires sunglasses are updated with vibrant finishes and modern designs.
The music amplified the show’s innovative character, featuring a soundtrack that ranged from Nobuo Uematsu’s “One-Winged Angel” to original collaborations by Pharrell with The Weeknd and Don Toliver. This collection not only honors Louis Vuitton’s legacy but also marks a milestone in the evolution of menswear by seamlessly integrating the past, present, and future in a unique and visionary way.
